Brothers in Christ was originally founded by Pastor Dirk Visser as a men’s ministry, born out of a pressing need. Not only in South Africa, but across the world, the role of men in the home, workplace, community, and church has gradually diminished. The strength and influence men once carried is no longer as evident. This ministry calls men back to their God-given purpose – to restore and live out light, truth, and brotherhood.

In Luke, Jesus gives Peter this command: “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail; and when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.” (Luke 22:31-32)

In today’s world, with so many challenges, temptations, and trials, the purpose of Brothers in Christ is to pray for one another, support one another, and strengthen one another so that our faith will not fail.

Our vision is to be a community of brothers who carry one another in faith and prayer. Our mission is to provide practical support and spiritual encouragement so that each one may endure. Our values are rooted in faith, prayer, love, and brotherhood. We believe no one should stand alone – together we are stronger.
